Soil Injected Insect Control
Soil injected insect control offers full season protection by applying it the previous fall. These injections control:
- Ash Trees - Emerald Ash Borer
- Birch Trees - Bronze Birch Borer, Leaf Minor
- Pines, Evergreens, Crab Apple - Sawfly
- Plus, piercing and sucking insects like aphids & scabs
This service applies a systemic insect control along with fertilizer around the drip line of our trees and under the canopy for maximum uptake and protection.
This application is made in the late fall and protection lasts through the following growing season. Since the insect control is taken up into the plant, the plant is protected spring through fall. Application may also be done in spring.
Other insects controlled with this application are as follows:
| Adelgids
Aphids Armored Scales (suppression) Black Vine Weevil Larvae Emerald Ash Borer Eucalyptus Longhorned Borer Fatheaded Borers (including Bronze Birch and Alder Borer) Japanese Beetles Leaf Bugs (including Tm and Viburnum Leaf Beetles) Lace Bugs Leafhoppers (including Glassy Winged Sharpshooter) Leafminers Meatybugs Piran Tin Moth Larvae Paylids Royal Palm Bugs Sawfly Larvae Sott Scales Thrips (suppression) White Grub Larvae Whiteflies |
Not approved in food producing plants.
Note: Worms and caterpillars are not controlled with this systemic application. Treatments made for plants already heavily damaged, such as trees with borers and other pests at the time of application, may not prevent the eventual loss. Treatments are effective when applied prior to extensive damage and infestation.
