- What Is AERATION?
- AERATION is the mechanical removal of hundreds of II2" plugs containing soil and thatch from your lawn.
- How does AERATION help my lawn?
- It breaks through dense thatch and opens up the soil to permit tree movement of water, air, and chemicals.
By extracting cores trom your lawn, it relieves soil compactions, giving grass room to breathe and roots to grow.
The holes left by AERATION provide an excellent seedbed, allowing the seed to come in contact with soil for proper germination.
- FOLLOWING AERATION IS A GREAT TIME TO OVERSEED
- AERATION, at least once a year is the most important preventive maintenance step you can take. Lawns with extreme thatch or a history of disease, should have AERATION done twice a year.
Another benefit of AERATION is a stronger stand of grass. Roots will dig deeper into the soil and spread farther. This will help your lawn survive stress times of drought, high temperatures, and normal foot traffic.
